Job description

The Sr. Meta & TikTok Media Buyer is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, launching, and optimizing paid campaigns across Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and TikTok to drive measurable growth for client brands. This role involves developing media strategies aligned with client goals, structuring campaigns and ad sets/groups, and continually testing creative, audiences, and bidding approaches across both platforms to maximize performance. The Sr. Media Buyer will monitor key metrics, analyze results, and provide clear insights and recommendations to internal teams and clients — including how budget and creative should flex between Meta and TikTok based on performance. Day-to-day tasks include managing budgets, coordinating with creative and account teams (TikTok in particular relies on native, fast-turnaround creative), ensuring proper tracking and attribution across both platforms, and staying current with Meta and TikTok advertising best practices and platform updates.

This role also supports broader digital marketing initiatives by sharing learnings, contributing to acquisition strategies, and helping refine processes for better efficiency and outcomes.

Growth path: As the team grows, this role has a clear path to lead a team of up to 4 media buyers — owning their onboarding, QA'ing campaign builds, and setting team-wide standards. You'll also help build and refine the processes, SOPs, and best practices that the wider buying team runs on (naming conventions, QA checklists, reporting templates, testing frameworks), regardless of whether/when you formally step into people management.

This position is for an individual looking to join our team full-time.

Compensation: Please note this position pays hourly. Plus two bonuses a year USD.

Qualifications
  • Strong Media Planning and Media Buying skills across both Meta and TikTok, including experience managing budgets and optimizing campaigns on each platform.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven optimization decisions — including cross-platform comparisons (Meta vs. TikTok efficiency, audience overlap, creative fatigue).
  • Media Strategy experience, including developing paid social strategies that align with client objectives and growth targets across multiple platforms.
  • Effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, present insights to clients, and clearly explain campaign performance and recommendations.
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager, plus pixel/event setup and attribution tools, is highly beneficial.
  • Understanding of what makes creative perform natively on TikTok vs. Meta (TikTok generally requires faster-turnaround, more native-feeling creative than Meta).
  • Background in performance marketing, eCommerce, or subscription-based businesses is preferred.
  • Interest in building/improving processes (SOPs, QA checklists, testing frameworks) and, over time, mentoring or leading other buyers is a plus — not required to apply, but a strong signal for growth into the team lead track.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple accounts, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
