You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other data professionals to design experiments and optimize business strategies. The role frequently requires presenting complex analyses in approachable terms and iterating on data solutions in response to feedback. You may also contribute to the development of internal data tools or pipelines, ensuring data quality and accessibility across the organization.

What jobs will no longer exist in 2030?

By 2030, roles heavily reliant on routine manual tasks, such as data entry clerks and certain assembly line positions, are expected to decline due to automation and AI advancements. Data science roles like Meta Data Science will evolve, with some tasks automated, but the need for advanced analytical skills and machine learning expertise will continue to grow. Overall, jobs that can be fully automated or replaced by AI are at higher risk of disappearing or transforming significantly.

What is a Meta Data Science job?

A Meta Data Science job involves using data analysis, machine learning, and statistical techniques to drive insights and decision-making at Meta. Data scientists in this role work with large-scale datasets to optimize products, improve user experiences, and develop predictive models. They collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to solve complex business problems. The role requires expertise in programming, data visualization, and experimental design to extract meaningful information from data.

Does Meta hire data scientists?

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Meta Data Science position, and why are they important?

To excel in Meta Data Science, a strong background in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis, often supported by an advanced degree in a quantitative field, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, experience with big data platforms (such as Hadoop or Spark), and knowledge of data visualization tools are typically required, as well as relevant certifications like those from Google, AWS, or Microsoft. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills set top candidates apart in this collaborative and data-driven environment. These competencies enable professionals to generate actionable insights, build scalable models, and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

How much does a meta data scientist make?

A data scientist at Meta typically earns between $100,000 and $160,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and level. Compensation may also include bonuses, stock options, and benefits, with higher salaries often associated with advanced skills in machine learning and data analysis tools.

Is 40 too late for data science?

Meta Data Science roles, like many data science positions, do not have strict age limits. Success depends on skills, experience, and continuous learning, such as mastering programming languages like Python or R and understanding machine learning concepts. Age should not be a barrier if you have relevant expertise and stay current with industry tools and techniques.

Job description

Launched in 2014 by former philosophy professor David Barnett, PopSockets is a global digital-lifestyle company that sells empowering, fun, and expressive products that improve people's digital lives. PopSockets has sold close to 300 million of its iconic phone grips in 75 countries and now has an expanding ecosystem of related products, including phone cases, wallets, mounts, batteries, and chargers.

Our mission is to empower enhanced mobile functionality, self-expression, and authentic human connection. We imagine an Eternal Positivity Machine that sparks joy, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We bring this vision to life by upholding the highest standards in materials, packaging, logistics, and design-while ensuring our supply chain and labor practices remain ethical, responsible, and transparent.

In 2021, PopSockets was honored as one of Fast Company's World's Most Innovative Companies.

PopSockets is hiring a Creator Affiliate Manager to build and scale our TikTok Shop creator affiliate program. You will recruit an army of content creators and own the program end to end.

We live by our e-commerce growth formula: Visitors Conversion Rate Average Order Value. This role is a primary lever on visitors, driving the right people to TikTok Shop through the right creators, at scale.

This is the performance side of influencer and creator marketing. You live for profitable customer acquisition, and affiliates are your tool to do it.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, vet, and onboard creators through TikTok Shop Affiliate Center, Creator Marketplace, and direct outreach
  • Design and manage the commission structure (tiered, performance-based) and day-to-day affiliate operations
  • Run the seeding program: product sampling, brief delivery, and posting-cadence enforcement
  • Build and own a rights-cleared content library. Secure usage rights in every creator agreement and turn that library into ammunition for paid acquisition across Meta, Snapchat, AppLovin, YouTube, Pinterest, and every other channel we run
  • Partner with Paid Media to identify organic-winning content and deploy it through Spark Ads and whitelisted campaigns across TikTok, Meta, and other performance channels
  • Partner with Creative Strategy to bring the science side of creator content
  • Partner with Post Production to craft additional variations and deliver proper channel-specific sizing
  • Build and run a creator community (Discord or equivalent) with coaching, trend updates, and product information
  • Manage creator agreements, payout operations, and 1099 compliance
  • Reconcile affiliate GMV, ROAS, conversion rate, and return-adjusted creator profitability across TikTok Seller Center, affiliate platforms, and internal reporting
  • Report weekly on program KPIs and creator performance
  • Leverage AI to build tools that support endless scaling of the program
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in creator, affiliate, influencer, or partnerships roles at a DTC brand
  • Hands-on TikTok Shop experience across Seller Center, Creator Marketplace, and affiliate program management. You have lived in the TikTok affiliate portal and can show real expertise in it
  • Experience designing and operating commission-based creator programs with measurable GMV outcomes
  • Working knowledge of the tools used to secure asset rights and manage cross-channel affiliate attribution. You know the tools
  • Experience writing or managing creator and ambassador agreements, including content usage rights
  • Familiarity with content whitelisting and Spark Ads workflows across TikTok and Meta
  • Comfort with performance data: pulling reports, reconciling attribution, and tracking ROAS, CVR, and AOV. Media buying background is a high plus
  • Strong written communication for briefs, agreements, and creator-facing content
  • AI curious: Claude Code, OpenClaw, Vercel, Supabase, and similar tooling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience at a DTC apparel, beauty, supplement, or consumer lifestyle brand with a mature TikTok Shop program
  • Experience building or managing a creator Discord or community platform at scale
  • Experience running a LIVE Shopping activation
  • Media buying background
  • Vibe coding expertise
$70,000 - $90,000 a year
10% annual bonus potential
