Job description

Teller - Meta
This is a part-time position in our Meta branch. The schedule will be flexible to ensure coverage during branch hours, and participation in the Saturday rotation is required.
Job Overview
The Teller is responsible for accurately processing customers’ routine transactions in a professional and friendly manner. The Teller also interacts with customers and provides them with information about their accounts and bank products and services.
Key Responsibilities
o Safely and accurately process customers’ routine transactions such as cashing checks, depositing money, issuing withdrawals, and collecting loan payments
o Issue negotiable items such as cashier’s checks
o Provide customers access to their safe deposit box
o Complete customers’ special requests as needed
o Maintain supply of cash and currency in personal cash drawer
o Count personal cash drawer at the end of each shift to make sure it balances
o Reconcile personal cash drawer in the event drawer does not balance
o Interact with customers in person, on telephone, or through other electronic communications in a friendly, helpful, and patient manner
o Answer customers’ basic inquiries about their accounts
o Identify customer needs through active listening and provide tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and build loyalty.
o Comply with bank operations and security procedures
o Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank operations information
o Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
o High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required and/or prefer to be at least 16 years of age at time of employment
o Previous cash-handling or customer service experience preferred.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
o Commitment to confidentiality.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
o Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technologies
Working Conditions
o Will require working on Saturday’s, you will be in a rotation
o Standing for extended periods and handling cash regularly.
