About this Position
The Messaging Engineer will be responsible for the daily administration, monitoring, and support of Primerica's enterprise email systems, including Exchange Online, Zimbra and future Email platforms. This role ensures availability, performance, and security across a large-scale messaging environment.
The salary range for this role is $80K - $90K.
This is a hybrid: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship, now or in the future.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of messaging systems
  • Administer user accounts, distribution lists, and policies
  • Support identity integration with Active Directory / Azure AD / E-Directory
  • Monitor system health and performance
  • Maintain email security configurations
  • Support end users and IT teams
  • Troubleshoot mail flow and delivery issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Assist with migration-related testing and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of email systems with other applications and platforms.
  • Deployment of patches and updates for various systems
  • Oversee the testing and validation of patches before and after deployment to ensure compatibility and prevent issues or disruptions.
  • Resolve patch-related issues, including installation failures and system reboots, and coordinate resolution with relevant teams.
  • Monitor patch deployments
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in email administration
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem and/or online)
  • Strong understanding of email protocols, routing and security
  • Experience with email security and filtering
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience with Active Directory or Azure AD
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in email system performance.
  • Knowledge of Zoom Platform will be a differential
