Location: Dallas
Description
The Project Consulting Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementations for manufacturing customers, including management of scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. This role is accountable for overall project execution and customer outcomes, including management of risks, dependencies, and escalations.
As a secondary responsibility, the role leads a team of 3-4 consultants by assigning work based on skills and experience, monitoring performance against project deliverables, and supporting adherence to defined delivery methodologies and standards.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
  • Assign project tasks to team members based on documented skills, certifications, and project experience
  • Monitor team progress against defined project plans, milestones, deliverables, and timelines
  • Develop and maintain project plans with defined customer and internal deliverables and target completion dates
  • Maintain resource plans for active and forecasted projects to support services forecasting processes
  • Conduct recurring project review meetings with customers to review status, risks, and deliverables
  • Participate in on-site or remote project activities, including requirements gathering sessions, design workshops, user training, and go-live support
  • Develop estimates and service work orders, including documented assumptions, scope boundaries, and exclusions
  • Review and adjust time tracking entries to support accurate customer invoicing
  • Manage customer issues and escalations, including tracking, documentation, and resolution within agreed timelines

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience leading MES project delivery from planning through go-live, including management of scope, schedule, budget, system integrations, and production-related requirements
  • Experience managing a consulting or professional services team delivering MES implementations, including task assignment and tracking performance against defined project deliverables
  • Experience conducting recurring team check-ins and providing guidance aligned to defined MES delivery methodologies, standards, and implementation frameworks
  • Experience managing resource utilization, including time tracking and scheduling, across project phases
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment
  • Ability to travel globally 25% or more
  • Must be willing to work 3 days per week in the office
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting MES pre-sales activities, including requirements gathering, solution scoping, and feasibility evaluation
  • Experience defining MES solution requirements and supporting solution design activities
  • Experience guiding junior consultants on MES technologies, manufacturing processes, and system integration standards
  • Experience working in manufacturing industries using MES solutions, including automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, or industrial manufacturing
