Job description

Job Title – MES Engineer
Location – Onsite
Job Type - Contract/ Fulltime

Job Description:

  • Design, update, and maintain MES workflows by programming or modifying process logic as per operational needs.

  • Oversee the health of MES systems through routine monitoring, prompt issue detection, and resolution to support uninterrupted production.

  • Handle setup, configuration, and technical support for MES hardware, including barcode printers, handheld scanners (PPC), part label systems, PBL controllers, and MES carts.

  • Diagnose and resolve barcode scanning issues and support peripheral hardware tied to MES functionality.

  • Perform initial troubleshooting for basic network connectivity issues impacting MES devices and interfaces.

  • Maintain oversight of all MES-related hardware, ensuring each device is properly configured, tracked, and aligned with IT policies.

  • Act as a liaison for cross-functional MES-related issues, supporting other connected platforms such as SAP, Paintshop systems, HMI terminals, JIS sequencing systems, and AIB.

  • Manage change requests from production teams by:

    • Gathering and analyzing functional requirements

    • Converting business needs into technical documentation

    • Coordinating implementation with MES vendors

    • Participating in validation and testing phases

    • Facilitating deployment and user acceptance

    • Developing training materials and guiding end users post-implementation

  • Provide clear, consistent communication to the MES Lead and IT Manager, keeping them informed on project timelines, issue resolution progress, and upcoming initiatives.
