Job Summary

Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a highly respected Fortune 500 Global Manufacturer for this role. As a MES Developer, for manufacturing in our discrete and continuous manufacturing plant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust solutions that align with business objectives. You will collaborate with IT and OT stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate technologies, and provide technical guidance for successful solution delivery.

This is a MES Service Owner/Developer - hands-on technology leadership role focused on managing and improving Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within a global manufacturing environment. The position sits at the intersection of IT and factory operations (OT), meaning the person will ensure that systems used on the production floor are reliable, efficient, and fully aligned with business goals like productivity, quality, and cost control.

The role is not just strategic—it also requires hands-on technical involvement, meaning the person will actively support systems, solve issues, and guide implementations while leading broader technology initiatives.

Qualifications

•Strong MES Expertise: Proven experience with MES platforms (preferably Apriso) and understanding how they support manufacturing execution.

•Broad Manufacturing Technology Knowledge

  • SCADA systems (factory monitoring/control)
  • PLCs & DCS (industrial control systems)
  • ERP systems like SAP (business planning)
  • Databases and system integrations

•Experience in Real Manufacturing Environments: Ideally across global operations and different production types (batch, discrete, continuous).

•Technical + Analytical Strength

  • Ability to work with data, troubleshoot complex issues, and design efficient system solutions.

•Leadership & Communication Skills

  • Comfortable leading initiatives, guiding teams, and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Hands-On Mindset

  • Not just a strategist—someone who can actively support systems, resolve issues, and stay close to the technology.

Key Responsibilities – What you'll Do….

•Own MES Systems End-to-End

  • oYou're responsible for the full lifecycle of MES platforms—designing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving them to support manufacturing operations.

•Bridge IT and Manufacturing (OT)

  • A big part of the job is connecting traditional IT systems (like SAP) with shop floor technologies (like PLCs, SCADA). This ensures seamless data flow from machines to business systems.

•Design Technical Solutions (Architecture)

  • You will define how systems are structured and integrated—making sure they are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with company standards.

•Drive Technology Decisions

  • The role involves evaluating new tools and deciding what technologies should be introduced or improved to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

•Collaborate Across Teams

  • You'll work closely with operations, engineering, and IT teams, translating operational needs into technical solutions and driving alignment across stakeholders.

Eligibility: All applications current authorized to live and work in the United States on a Permanent basis are welcome to apply. Must be currently residing in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
