Community Health Program Assistant
Meritus Health | Make a Difference in Your Community
Are you passionate about improving community health and wellness? Meritus Health is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and community-minded Community Health Program Assistant to support programs and initiatives that positively impact the lives of those we serve. In this role, you'll provide administrative and operational support for community health activities, outreach events, wellness programs, and community partnerships.

What You'll Do
  • Provide administrative and operational support for Community Health programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of community health programs, outreach activities, events, and partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate program records, databases, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Support Community Benefit reporting and data collection efforts.
  • Assist with Go for Bold and other community wellness and prevention initiatives.
  • Coordinate communications with internal departments, community organizations, and external partners.
  • Prepare presentations, meeting materials, correspondence, and reports.
  • Support community meetings, outreach activities, health fairs, and special events.
  • Track program participation and assist with outcome reporting and evaluation activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Community Health team and assist with special projects as needed.

What We're Looking For
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field.

Experience
  • One (1) year of experience in administrative support, customer service, healthcare, community health, nonprofit organizations, or a related field preferred.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with data entry, reporting, record maintenance, and document management preferred.
  • Knowledge of community health programs, healthcare organizations, or nonprofit operations is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Additional Requirements
  • Access to a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license from any state.
  • Ability to travel locally to support community meetings, outreach activities, and events.
  • Must meet the requirements of the Meritus Health Vehicle Management Use and Control Policy, including personal insurance coverage requirements.
