Fibre Federal Credit Union isseeking a Full-Time Human Resources Relations Specialist to join our team. 

Wage Range: $25.76 - $40.25

* Therange above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and otherpay increases based on performance. The target pay range for thisposition is typically within the first half of the range.  Compensationdecisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills,experience, and education or training.  Should an offer for employment bemade, we will consider individual qualifications.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The HumanResources Relations Specialist will assist withemployee relations and human resources matters, gathering,collecting, and maintaining documents and records required for policydevelopment and investigations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES

        Creates partnerships with employees, supervisors, and managersto promote positive employee relations.

        Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, referringcomplex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

        Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake andassessment of employee complaints.

        Conducts initial interviews and gathers information foremployee relations matters such as harassment allegations, workcomplaints, or other concerns; informs HR management when additionalinvestigation is required.

        Assists in creating progressive discipline plans to monitor,review, and make suggestions for corrective actions for attendance,punctuality, conduct, and performance issues.

        Coaches and advises employees regarding Employee Guide policies.

        Runs disciplinary reports monthly and track on History Sheets.

        Prepares supervisor/manager resources and assist with trainingsas needed.

        Conducts surveys, interviews, and other research related tohuman resources policies; collect information and reports results to HRmanagement.

        Frequently travels to financial services centers and departmentsin all regions.

        Be knowledgeable of FMLA, WPFML, OFLA, PLO and any otheremployee leave laws.

        Maintain and update Investigation Process and Discipline Processwhen necessary.

        Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute humanresources programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters, disputesand investigations, performance and talent management, productivity,recognition, and morale.

        Assists in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, andinvestigations.

        May perform administrative and record-keeping tasks related tostaffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, and terminations.

        Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employmentlaws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies andpractices to maintain compliance.

        Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatorychanges, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.

        Reviews and approves employee performance check-ins for legalcompliance and consistency prior to management presentation with employee.

        Cross-train in other positions in the department including butnot limited to payroll, benefits, or leave.

        Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

        Specific Skills - Thorough understanding and proficiency inMicrosoft 365 Suite required.

        Problem Solving - The individual identifies and resolvesproblems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

        Interpersonal Skills - The individual maintains confidentiality,remains open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things. Musthave superior interpersonal skills and comfortably work/communicate with peopleat all levels within the organization; ability to get along with diversepersonalities. Must display a tactful, mature, flexible, and compassionatedemeanor.

        Oral Communication - The individual speaks clearly andpersuasively in positive or negative situations. The individual maintainsongoing communication with Department Manager concerning activities of thedepartment as well as needs or problems and keeps them informed of allpertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and otherimportant information.

        Written Communication - The individual edits work for spellingand grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and is able to read andinterpret written information.

        Team Player - The individual must be a strong team player withan outgoing, positive, can-do attitude and be comfortable with continuouslychanging opportunities and priorities.

        Planning/Organizing - The individual prioritizes and plans workactivities, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans.

        Quality Control - The individual demonstrates accuracy andthoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

        Dependability - The individual is consistently at work and ontime (except for those cases protected by law which are outlined in theEmployee Guide), follows instructions, responds to Management direction, andsolicits feedback to improve performance.

        Observes Policies/Procedures - The individual sets an example inobserving (following) Credit Union policies and applicable Standard OperatingProcedures, as well as those in the Employee Guide.

        Image - The individual must display a positive and professionalimage.

        Travel - Must be able travel between financial services centerson a regular basis. Must have access to an automobile and a valid driver'slicense with a good driving record and adequate automobile-related insurance.Some overnight travel may be required.

Possess high school diploma or equivalent 


Education/Experience: A bachelor's degreein human resources or related field is preferred but may be substituted with aminimum of two years' Human Resources experience.

Must possess and be adaptableto the following physical abilities and working conditions:

        Office work environment.

        Must be able to sit in front of a computer for extended periodsof time.

        Must be able to stand for public events/presentations and runorientation/training programs.

        Move work-related equipment up to 20 pounds.

        Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.

        Operate various technological devices, including but not limitedto a computer.

        Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
