Job description

Merit Chevrolet Co. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate in St Paul, MN. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain by managing the receipt and shipment of automotive parts and products efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of items against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies or shortages to management.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments in a timely and safe manner.
  • Maintain organized and clean shipping and receiving areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure proper delivery schedules and documentation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks following safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills to manage inventory and shipping documentation.
