Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) will lead strategic evaluation, execution, and integration of inorganic growth opportunities across the company’s portfolio. Reporting into the Portfolio Strategy team, this role partners closely with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, R&D, and Commercial leaders to assess acquisition targets, structure deals, and ensure strategic value creation post-close.

The Mergers & Acquisition role works directly with executive leadership to shape enterprise growth priorities and translate long-term strategy into actionable initiatives across marketing, R&D, and commercial teams.

This role is designed for a strategic thinker and operator who can identify opportunities based on clear analytical frameworks. The position will work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure that Samyang’s portfolio strategy and sustainable growth model is sufficient for the growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end M&A activities including target identification, business case development, valuation, diligence, and deal execution.

  • Develop strategic rationales for acquisitions aligned to portfolio and long-range growth strategies.

  • Own financial and strategic modeling, including synergies and integration value creation plans.

  • Coordinate cross-functional diligence workstreams and manage external advisors.

  • Support post-merger integration strategy, governance, and KPI tracking in partnership with integration leads.

  • Provide insights to executive leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and pipeline prioritization.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to best-practice M&A processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience, preferable in business management, M&A, corporate development, strategy consulting, investment banking, insights & analytics or related fields.

  • Strong experience with financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in consumer goods, healthcare, food and beverages, life sciences, or technology-driven industries.

  • Prior exposure to post-merger integration or operating model design.

  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Leadership Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking and sound judgment.

  • Analytical discipline, structured thinking and data-driven decision making.

  • Influence without authority.

  • Results-driven and detail-oriented.

  • Collaborative leadership style.

  • Executive presence, clear communication and strong storytelling with senior leaders.

  • Execution mindset, ability to move from insight to action.

The base salary for this position is between $120,000.00 and $140,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
