Mercy Vale Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Peoria, Illinois. This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality mental health care remotely, allowing counselors to work from the comfort of their own homes. This position is completely remote, utilizing telehealth technology to conduct virtual therapy sessions. You will interact with clients in a supportive and secure online setting, collaborating with an experienced team of mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations with clients to determine their mental health status and therapeutic needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address clients’ unique challenges and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Provide regular virtual therapy sessions, delivering both individual and group interventions tailored to each patient’s circumstances.
• Employ culturally responsive methodologies to ensure inclusivity in therapy, promoting equity and understanding in treatment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers when necessary, making referrals for additional support such as medication management.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation, treatment planning, and coordination of care.
• Maintain compliance with ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards to foster a safe therapeutic environment.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and adapt treatment strategies as needed.

You will work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Understanding the unique backgrounds and cultural contexts of each client is essential, as it will inform your therapeutic approach and enhance the effectiveness of treatment.

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW).
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in using EHR systems and technology to enhance client engagement and therapy outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards.

• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions and facilitating support groups.
• Background in working with culturally diverse populations and a commitment to social justice in mental health practice.
• Advanced training or certifications in specialized treatment modalities (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care).

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
