Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Supervisor directs assigned housekeeping personnel in the use of proper housekeeping and sanitation practices throughout the facility during their respective shift; coordinates, directs and inspects the work of assigned personnel; conducts training and insures compliance with all JCAHO regulations and Mercy policies; Submits supply and minor equipment requirements to Operations Manager for action; Fills in during personnel shortages as required; Assists Operations Manager in providing outstanding customer service.


Requirements

-Minimum of 3 years as a general houskeeper with floor technician experience.

-Must be able to operate all housekeeping equipment; i.e., High-Speed Buffer, Floor Scrubber, Stripper, Barnisher, etc.

-Hospital healthcare experience PREFERRED but not required

-High School Diploma or GED

-All housekeeping functions to include, general and deep cleaning and sanitization, floor scrubbing, stripping, waxing and buffing.
