Job description

Title: Housekeeper (Part-Time) 

Location: Dallas, TX – Multiple ASD Properties  

Schedule: Part-Time, up to 20 hours per week 

Salary: Hourly, $12.50 - $13.45

The Role 

The Housekeeper plays an important role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments across ASD’s residential properties and main office. Working a rotating weekly schedule, this position ensures common areas, building exteriors, and shared spaces are well-maintained so that residents, staff, and visitors experience a consistently clean and presentable environment. 

What You’ll Do 

The Housekeeper performs routine cleaning and light maintenance tasks across assigned ASD properties on a set weekly rotation, keeping common areas, offices, and building exteriors clean, sanitary, and in good order. This role travels between multiple sites and adjusts tasks to each property’s schedule and needs. 

  • Empty trash and recycling bins in common areas and offices 
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum common areas, hallways, entrances, basements, and community rooms 
  • Clean glass doors, windows, and windowsills throughout assigned properties 
  • Clean and maintain elevators according to each property’s schedule 
  • Maintain trash rooms and clean stairwells 
  • Remove cobwebs from common areas as needed 
  • Maintain curb appeal of building exteriors 
  • Clean office bathrooms, kitchen/break area, and conference room at the Main Office 
  • Follow a rotating weekly schedule across multiple properties, including Hillcrest House, Spencer, Revlon, Ewing, La’Maison at 511, and the Main Office 

Required 

  • Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience 
  • Ability to safely use standard cleaning equipment and supplies 
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple properties within the Dallas area 
  • Ability to work independently and follow a rotating weekly schedule 
  • Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs, and to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods 

Preferred 

  • Experience working in a nonprofit, supportive housing, or residential setting
