Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Payrate: $21.00 / Hour Schedule: Monday 8 am - 12 pm; Tuesday - Friday 2 pm - 6 pm
Reports to: Program Manager
Department: Emergency Services
Region: Maricopa County
Job Summary: The Data & Reservation Specialist is the point person for all data entry into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for a designated Mercy House program. This position is responsible for data collection and data entry into HMIS, generates reports from HMIS and other platforms. The Data & Reservation Specialist works collaboratively with Mercy House staff in recording services provided, clients served, and program outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Data Entry and Reporting
  • Reviews HMIS intake forms to ensure accuracy of data collected
  • Enters intake/enrollment data into HMIS daily
  • Scans and uploads vital guests' documents to HMIS daily
  • Ensures HMIS data quality management
  • This role is the lead point of contact for Senior Bridge HMIS quality assurance and meets regularly with Data Manager
  • Responsible for entering all Bed Nights, Case Notes and Services provided into HMIS and any other databases
  • Follows up with staff as needed to ensure needed documents and updated forms are kept to agency standard
  • Meets data entry deadlines
  • Responsible for data reporting including Key Performance Indicators
Miscellaneous
  • Attend program specific staff meetings and staff meetings
  • Attend Maricopa CoC meetings as needed
  • Attend HMIS and program data specific training
  • Perform ad hoc projects as appointed by Supervisor
Education and Experience
  • Strong analytical skills and data experience
  • Strong computer, typing, and data processing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet-based browsers
  • Possess a high level of understanding for individuals served with urgent multiple case management and health needs
General
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population
  • Plan, organize and prioritize duties
  • Clearly communicate information and instructions verbally and in written form
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluency in Spanish is of significant value
