Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity - Mercy Health, Lima, OH Seeking Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Mercy Health, Lima, OH Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio is seeking a motivated BE/BC Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a growing multispecialty program. Candidate must be fellowship trained with a passion for cardiac and thoracic surgery.

Experience in minimally invasive surgery including: TAVR Complex valve repair and replacement Minimally invasive valve surgery Aortic procedures including complex aneurysms and dissections VATS Robotics Coronary artery bypass grafting is preferred. The primary need is for Thoracic cases but there is also the opportunity to assist with Cardiac cases. The Mercy Health Physicians St.

Rita's Heart & Vascular Program has 6 employed cardiologists with 3 interventional cardiologists and 1 EP specialist. Excellent support from 4 APCs for the OR, floor, and ambulatory setting. Board certified Vascular Surgeons are also a part of the service line as well as a community-based heart and vascular specialist supporting the service line.

Highlights 140 cardiac cases (excluding structural or thoracic cases) with tremendous room to grow. Call 1:3, 10-16 days/month. ACC Transcatheter Valve Accreditation (One of 4 in Ohio) Level 2 Trauma Center ECMO on site Stroke Certified Center Joint Commission AMI Certified with Level III Cardiac Cath Lab.

TAVR Accredited The only Sepsis Center of Excellence in Ohio. 407 bed Medical Center with excellent sub-specialty support 10 county catchment area with a population of 480,000 Perfusionists on-site, NP & PA support Teaching available - IM, EM, and FM Residents Competitive compensation & benefit package This is not a J-1 qualified area.
