Job Description

This position will require servicing and fulfilling customer orders at the prepared foods counter. You will be expected to provide professional and efficient service to customers while also demonstrating a high level of product knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepares and packages product as directed
  • Assists customers with orders placed
  • Properly prices merchandise
  • Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed
  • Maintains current knowledge of product
  • Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards
  • Provides exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner
  • Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
  • Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Samples product at the direction of the department manager

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Culinary or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
  • Proper phone etiquette while taking orders and messages
  • Ability to effectively communicate between peers

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
