Job description

About Grubhub

At Grubhub, we believe food is more than just a meal: It's a source of discovery, connection, and pure enjoyment. There's a time and place for every type of dish, from hidden neighborhood gems to tried-and-true favorites, and we exist to connect people with the food they love in all the ways they like to dig in. We've been at it since 2004, but now, as part of Wonder, Grubhub is operating with a renewed sense of momentum and the high-velocity energy of a powerhouse startup.

As a leading U.S. ordering and delivery marketplace, we feature over 415,000 merchants in more than 4,000 cities, creating the ultimate food experience by elevating online ordering through innovative restaurant technology, easy-to-use platforms, and an improved delivery experience. We are constantly finding new ways to innovate-from integrated grocery delivery with groceries powered by Instacart to exclusive loyalty programs. Join our team, based out of New York City, Chicago and Denver, and help us give our diners the exceptional value they deserve.

About the Opportunity

The Account Manager, Enterprise is a high-impact, revenue-driving role responsible for managing and growing Grubhub's most valuable enterprise-level brand and merchant portfolios. This role blends top-tier relationship management with consultative selling, focusing heavily on driving merchant growth through tailored advertising, co-marketing strategies, and innovative product adoption.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will act as a strategic consultant to your partners, maximizing their ROI while securing long-term retention and sustainable revenue growth for Grubhub.

The Impact You Will Make

Strategic Account Management & Retention

  • Portfolio Growth: Own, protect, and scale a book of business consisting of Grubhub's highest-value enterprise accounts.

  • Long-Term Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-quarter account management plans focused on long-term value creation, brand alignment, and relationship health.

  • Healthy Advocacy: Cultivate "client-first" relationships with senior stakeholders, confidently balancing advocacy for the merchant with Grubhub's business interests to establish a trusted, healthy partnership.

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively anticipate enterprise-level risks, market shifts, and competitive threats, engineering creative solutions to protect account health.

Advertising & Marketing Revenue Generation

  • Consultative Selling: Drive incremental revenue by pitching and selling bespoke advertising space, in-app promotions, and integrated marketing campaigns tailored to partner goals.

  • Performance Optimization: Conduct advanced data analysis and performance reporting to demonstrate marketing ROI, leveraging insights to unlock additional ad spend.

  • Hyper-Local Customization: Deeply understand market dynamics to uncover restaurant-by-restaurant or regional growth opportunities, designing personalized marketing solutions that scale across the enterprise.

Product & Technical Leadership

  • Subject Matter Expert: Maintain an expert-level, "sales-engineer" understanding of Grubhub's product suite, tools, and advertising ecosystem.

  • Demos & Troubleshooting: Confidently lead advanced product demonstrations and technical troubleshooting sessions for C-suite and enterprise-level stakeholders.

  • Internal Liaison: Act as a critical feedback loop, synthesising partner needs and translating them into actionable feature requests and enhancements for the internal Product and Engineering teams.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Influence & Visibility: Meaningfully contribute to organizational strategy by influencing cross-functional teams and making data-backed cases for new initiatives.

  • Mentorship: Serve as a leader within the account management org, mentoring junior team members, guiding onboarding processes, and reinforcing Grubhub's core value proposition.

  • Operational Excellence: Work independently with minimal supervision, planning and executing your own work while aligning major, business-impacting decisions with executive leadership.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience: 6-10 years of experience in Enterprise Account Management, Strategic Partnerships, Ad Sales, or Digital Marketing Sales (B2B, SaaS, or Marketplace experience preferred).

  • Track Record: Proven success meeting and exceeding commercial goals, specifically in upselling, cross-selling, and driving ad/marketing revenue.

  • Strategic Agility: Ability to easily navigate internal tools, adapt to shifting product landscapes, and pivot strategies based on market trends.

  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing high-caliber, external executive stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: A self-starter mentality characterized by proactive problem-solving, continuous self-development, and a passion for generating creative business ideas.

As a matter of company policy, Wonder does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role.

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome-and encouraged-to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.
