POSITION:Senior Manager, Projects & Sustainability

DEPARTMENT: Projects

REPORTS TO: General Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages CIP Budget as directed by the General Manager, maintaining accurate tracking and documentation of financial information relating to funding allocations, expenses, cash flow and distributions and changes in project priorities

  • Works closely with the Finance department to reconcile accounting for CIP projects.

  • Prepares financial and project update reports on a timely basis for distribution to upper management and State agencies as directed by the General Manager. Provides reports and financial justification of CIP projects.

  • Manages multiple aspects of project process to ensure accuracy and timeliness as it relates to planning, procurement, execution, project tracking and completion.

  • Manage the applicable procurement process/law for construction projects. Analyze, plan and execute compliance with such processes/laws.

  • Manage schedule of construction projects with Hawaii Convention Center event schedule and departments.

  • Serve as Hawaii Convention Center liaison for third-party managed projects.

  • Determines and schedules assistance of Hawaii Convention Center departments that are needed for construction project completion.

  • Analyze project financial information for accuracy, processing and timeliness

  • Manage company internal system(s) data and website(s) relative to construction project work

  • Responsible for communications relative to construction project

  • Oversee Sustainability programs and initiatives, ensuring they meet regulatory and industry standards and HCC goals.

  • Monitor and track sustainability metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) relating to business and/or construction management

  • 2-5 years construction project management experience or related field

  • Must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion at all time

  • Must be able to be lift/carry 10 pounds.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage projects, timelines, and deadlines

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365; Type 45 wpm; 10 key by touch.

  • Must demonstrate intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Must demonstrate an ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, have strong analytical, and customer service skills

  • Demonstrated ability to follow departmental and company procedures accurately and efficiently

  • Must demonstrate a high level of performance in communication at all times. This includes verbal, written, inter-departmental and outside of the department to all levels of employees as well as any persons outside of the department and/or organization

  • Must effectively adapt to a changing environment and department needs

  • Must perform all duties with integrity and ensuring all company and department policies are adhered to

  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays and additional hours as venue schedule requires

  • Must have the ability to work harmoniously in a team setting exhibiting the "Aloha Spirit" to fellow workers, guests, clients and the community so as to provide exceptional customer service while demonstrating behaviors that reflect the Hawai 'i Convention Center's vision, mission statement and values.

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.

Salary range: $90K - $95K
