Your RoleAs Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing the overall performance, maintenance, and repair of the elevator. The Operations Manager will oversee quality control measures on incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring the maintenance and compliance of a safe working environment. Day to Day
  • Supervising the daily operation of the elevator
  • Managing the quality control and blending of grain
  • Supervising Facility Assistants to ensure business needs are executed safely, efficiently and profitably
  • Managing the facility safety program and actively working to create a strong safety culture
  • Overseeing food safety compliance
  • Managing regular maintenance, scheduling and repair on facility equipment
  • Supporting the procurement of grain and sales of crop inputs
  • Ensure reasonable business practices are followed consistently
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the operation of a grain elevator
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the grain industry including grading factors, elevator equipment and processes, and effective product storage management
  • Practical knowledge in mechanical repair
  • Experience in team management or supervision, demonstrating effective leadership abilities
  • Proficient computer skills with aptitude for learning and adapting to new software applications
