Job description

Overview:
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Merchandising Operations Manager to join the Merchandising team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the coordination of all line plans, ensuring timely development and consolidation in collaboration with sales merchandising and product merchandising: timeline, consolidation, reviews.
  • Organize timeline from line plan to market, ensuring key meetings with all necessary stakeholders, and liaising with merchandising, design product development, VM, wholesale and retail teams.
  • Coordinate the creation and presentation of strategic decks and competitive analysis decks for key internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the creation of tools for stores, update and communicate seasonal capsules, core collections, must have. Work hand in hand with global training team.
  • Oversee the operational aspects of market preparation and execution, ensuring all product and presentation materials are ready, liaising with merchandising, merchandising, VM and marketing. Floor set-up, assets creations, training decks.
  • Coordinate the implementation of pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate all product-related interactions and operational needs with the retail team.
  • Manage product interactions and operational workflows with local and international in-house wholesale teams, facilitating market preparation, smooth order processes and product information sharing. Work hand in hand with wholesale teams to analyze quality of buying and align on strategic priorities.
  • Work closely with central sales merch team to lead the go to market initiatives and kick-offs.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandising operations, retail operations, or a similar coordination-heavy role within the fashion industry, with a proven track record of managing complex cross-functional workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating line plans, design reviews, and strategic presentations.
  • Strong understanding of retail math, inventory management, and product lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in merchandising software and systems (e.g., PLM, ERP, PIM, advanced Excel skills).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage relationships with diverse stakeholders (retail, wholesale, design, production).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and complex projects concurrently.

SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:
The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000-$100,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate's relevant skills and experience.
