Job Overview:
The Business Analyst works closely with the Merchandising Operations Manager and partners with the Merchandising, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Retail Operations teams to obtain, analyze, and interpret robust data sets that drive decision-making. This role focuses on translating insights into clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations that tell the story behind the data.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities aligned with competitive positioning and business objectives.
  • Drive sales and margin growth through detailed product performance analysis and data-backed recommendations.
  • Analyze category and industry trends and present clear, actionable insights to leadership.
  • Serve as the primary analytical partner for the Merchandising organization.
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools, reports, and presentations to support promotional and pricing decisions.
  • Support item maintenance, cost updates, and retail price changes through accurate data management.
  • Partner in the execution of promotional strategies, including planogram and store layout initiatives.
  • Apply strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and a results-oriented mindset in all analyses.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights that drive informed decision-making and business growth.
  • Operate as a proactive, collaborative team member with a strategic focus and ownership mentality.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field
  • Pricing experience within corporate retail or finance preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access; SQL experience required
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting
