Job description

Objective:
The Merchandiser Supervisor is responsible for maintaining merchandising standards within a designated geographic area by increasing total supply chain efficiencies for our suppliers and leading a team of front-line employees to merchandise a diverse portfolio of products to key retail accounts.
Accountabilities:
  • Collaborate with the sales and delivery staff to improve processes and drive productivity while maintaining the highest levels of customer service satisfaction.
  • Assist with the training of all merchandisers with a focus on correct merchandising techniques, waste elimination, and Company policies and procedures.
  • Review and analyze daily route plans and work assignments to ensure proper work-load distribution among all employees.
  • Help prioritize work assignments for merchandisers to meet sales, delivery, and customer demands.
  • Measure and utilize task data to provide fact-based feedback to retailers and employees when discussing overall performance.
  • Survey and monitor employee productivity and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to manage needs and concerns of multiple stakeholders.
  • Selling knowledge with proven ability to create and sell specific promotional programs & key initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Work with minimal supervision; be a self-starter, team player and have the motivation to learn.
  • Ability to repetitively lift, pull, and push 50 lbs.; bend over, reach above head height and kneeling.
  • Operate and maneuver a pallet jack.
  • A valid driver's license and excellent driving record are required.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule if necessary.

Perferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of merchandising and distribution environment and systems along with business development planning experience preferred.
