Job description

How You Fit In

The Merchandise Production Associate supports the execution of purchase orders, pre-production workflows, garment specifications, and materials readiness to ensure timely delivery of finished goods. This role works closely with Production, Product Development, and vendors to maintain accuracy across PO’s (including SMS and UGC), support cost and delivery targets, and manage critical path activities for each season. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and accountable, with the ability to manage PO accuracy, track pre-production timelines, and coordinate daily communication with vendors in a fast-paced environment. They collaborate well across teams but can independently troubleshoot discrepancies and keep orders progressing toward key deadlines.

What you will do

Buy Release, Capacity Management & PO Accuracy: Send monthly buys to vendors and reissue updated buy releases when changes or late additions occur. Manage the capacity planning tool by updating projections and actualizing numbers after each buy release. Validate delivery quotes for each buy release to ensure lead times align with expectations. Work with the PO Creation team to generate accurate purchase orders and confirm all PO details match the buy plan.

Production Tracking, Calendars & Vendor Management: Review weekly vendor WIPs to ensure production milestones are met, booking numbers are received, and styles move to handover on schedule. Monitor pre-production approvals to ensure delivery dates remain on track. Work closely with vendors and Product Development to support AUC targets and identify opportunities to improve cost outcomes. Negotiate delivery delays, troubleshoot production issues, and partner with vendors to maintain on‑time execution. Review weekly delivery status with the Supply Chain Brand Manager and Merchandising teams, identifying risks and required adjustments. Review compliance chargebacks for late bookings, handovers, or deliveries (for DDP shipments) and track outcomes.

Quality, Testing Review & Issue Escalation: Review failed garment testing and inspection reports, identify risks, and elevate issues to the Manager. Gather relevant information to present to internal teams for determining corrective actions based on testing or inspection results. Bubble up production issues to management and assist in researching root causes and potential resolutions.

What You Bring
  • 2-4 years of experience in production, merchandising operations, or a related function with direct exposure to vendors and purchase order management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage purchase order workflows end-to-end, including tracking status, identifying variances, and driving timely resolution
  • Hands‑on experience using PLM systems to review, update, and maintain product, costing, and production data with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets, build tracking tools, and ensure a high level of data accuracy
  • Ability to interpret garment testing and inspection reports and translate findings into actionable next steps for Production or Product Development
  • Experience coordinating with cross‑functional teams and vendors, maintaining clear communication to support deadlines and troubleshoot issues
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently and deliver against production milestones
  • Ideal candidate brings foundational AI literacy, including experience using generative AI tools, and a proactive mindset to experiment with new technologies to drive productivity and innovation
