Job description

Part-Time Truck Loader

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Part-Time Truck Loader to join our team. This role is essential for assuring our automotive parts are accurately and efficiently loaded onto delivery trucks.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 PM - 12:00 PM (20 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate Loading: Load customer orders of auto parts (which vary widely in size and weight) onto delivery trucks.
  • Safety and Organization: Securely and safely stack and organize parts within the truck to prevent shifting, damage, or loss during transit. This includes proper placement, bracing, and strapping.
  • Order Verification: Verify part numbers, counts, and quality against shipping manifests or invoices to ensure the correct parts are loaded.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist with general warehouse duties during non-loading times, such as staging products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Must spend at least 15 minutes at the end of each shift cleaning the workspace/floors.
    • Must start each shift assuring a clean workspace before moving any product.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and warehouse regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to consistently lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs (occasionally more with assistance) and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching for the entire four-hour shift.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to ensure correct part identification and proper loading for scheduled routes.
  • Reliability: Proven record of reliable attendance and punctuality for a set evening schedule.
  • Safety Focus: Understanding and commitment to working in a safe manner around moving mechanical parts and heavy objects.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar labor-intensive role is preferred.
  • Equipment: Prior experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack) is a plus.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Must have Steel or Composite footwear.
