You'll be challenged, supported, and trusted to take ownership of meaningful work that shapes the future of one of the fastest-growing industries in America.

About the Role

MN Cannabis Services is a fast-growing cannabis company at the ground floor of one of the most exciting emerging industries in Minnesota. We're building something — and we're looking for leaders who want to grow with us. The District Manager (DM) serves as the senior regional leader for the Southeast Minnesota Region, responsible for the performance, operations, compliance, training execution, and culture across four or more retail dispensary locations. This role oversees General Managers at each location, ensuring alignment with company standards and strategic goals. The DM is the primary driver of training delivery, people development, and operational consistency across the district — translating corporate programs into effective execution at the store level.

What You'll Do

  • Executes direction and team expectations for the district retail operations team
  • Directly manages four or more General Managers and provides indirect leadership to their store teams
  • Provides regular guidance, training, development, and on-the-spot feedback for direct reports
  • Responsible for the overall satisfaction, safety, and security of customers and employees across the district
  • Executes plans to drive labor productivity while delivering best-in-class customer service
  • Administers programs provided by the retail operations team; reports on key district metrics using data to drive sound business decisions
  • Oversees inventory management practices and ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained across all locations
  • Troubleshoots aspects of store technology across the district to ensure operations are functioning properly
  • Coordinates and implements visual merchandising standards to drive sales and product recognition
  • Utilizes conflict resolution to support GMs in handling customer complaints, returns, and escalations
  • Monitors regular inventory audits and investigates discrepancies across the district
  • Reviews cash reconciliation reporting daily across all locations
  • Maximizes overall district productivity by overseeing all procedures and processes to ensure effective compliance

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of progressive retail leadership, including 3+ years of multi-unit management experience
  • Proven ability to coach and develop leaders at multiple levels
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and critical judgment skills
  • Comfortable with scheduling, inventory systems, and financial reporting
  • Comfortable with frequent travel across district locations; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • 100% in-office commitment across locations — this is not a remote role
  • High level of integrity, personal motivation, adaptability, and sense of urgency
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information
  • Must report to work sober at all times
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly (up to 200 lbs with assistance), with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
  • Minimum 21 years of age

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary of $100,000 plus bonus
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) — free to all employees
  • 50% employee discount on smokable cannabis products
  • Employee Discount Program — exclusive savings from top national retailers
