Pricing plays a critical role in supporting customer trust, business growth, and profitability. The team is responsible for establishing Chewy’s pricing strategy, maintaining pricing accuracy and reliable reporting that enable effective business decision-making across Chewy.

This role supports day-to-day pricing operations and analysis within defined guardrails, with a focus on price integrity, competitive coverage, data quality, and defect reduction. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working with large data sets to identify trends, investigate issues, and support sound pricing decisions. This person should be able to use established tools, reports, and processes to solve moderately ambiguous problems, perform preliminary root-cause analysis, communicate findings clearly, and partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to improve execution and maintain pricing guardrails. Success in this role will be measured by improvements in key operational metrics like productivity, pricing accuracy, competitive coverage, SLA adherence on key workflows and quality of analysis. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you! Come run with the Pack!

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Pricing Operations workflows (Exception queues, outlier audits and competitive matching) through continuous execution, defect identification & correction, and escalation of higher-judgment cases where needed.

  • Monitor competitor activity, identify pricing/promotional strategy changes, assortment updates, and site functionality changes, and communicate relevant insights and customer trust risks to the business.

  • Partner with internal (Data Science, Analytics, Technology) and external (Category Management, Promotions, Finance, vendors) stakeholders to ensure pricing data, reporting, and operational inputs used in decision-making are accurate, complete, and actionable.

  • Analyze recurring pricing metrics and operational trends to identify issues, develop preliminary hypotheses, and help validate root causes with cross-functional partners.

  • Investigate ambiguous pricing questions using existing tools, SOPs, and business context, and summarize findings with recommendations and proposed next steps.

  • Support recurring business reviews, ad hoc analyses, and continuous improvement efforts by proactively surfacing risks, anomalies, and data-backed opportunities to simplify manual processes, improve pricing accuracy, and contribute to automation or tooling enhancements where appropriate.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent analytical experience

  • 1+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, ecommerce, merchandising support, operational analysis, or a related field

  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets

  • Working knowledge of SQL required

  • Experience using dashboards and reports, preferably Tableau, to monitor KPIs and investigate defects or performance issues

  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing or workflow management tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate data into clear business summaries

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfort working within established processes while investigating exceptions and escalating complex issues appropriately

  • Experience identifying opportunities to streamline recurring workflows; exposure to scripting or process automation (Python or VBA) is a plus
