THE ROLE

Merch Manager, Men's 

We are seeking a product obsessed Buyer to join our growing team and lead a growing product category within our men's division.  In this role, you will scale your business - owning the assortment, pricing, and strategy end to end. You'll combine product intuition with data-driven decision-making to build a high-performing assortment that delights customers and accelerates Quince's growth. This role will lead cross functional teams from PD, Tech design, Planning, and marketing to ensure deliverables are met to drive the business.

Success in this role means driving exceptional growth by delivering an assortment that balances data-driven insights with great product insight, while meeting our quality and product standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and scale the assortment from product ideation to launch, working closely with all cross functional partners to drive category success
  • Curate an assortment that delivers on revenue, margin, and quality targets while addressing needs of the consumer
  • Leverage data, customer insights, and retail trends to build, optimize, and scale the assortment - analyzing performance, refining product mix, and making evidence-based decisions
  • Partner closely with sourcing to develop and bring new products to market, with a focus on delivering quality products at radical prices
  • Manage the product development process and all decisions with sourcing partners and tech design to ensure on time delivery of product launches
  • Collaborate with marketing, site, and creative teams to ensure compelling product launches and storytelling that need business needs
  • Utilize technology and data tools to build, evaluate, and scale the product strategy
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, serving as the category expert and advocate for the customer.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Role is based in San Francisco California, with 3 days per week in office requirement.
  • 5-10 years of retail merchandising experience in the Men's apparel category
  • Experience in product development is preferred
  • E-commerce experience and/or DTC experience preferred
  • Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
  • Product obsessed with experience in leveraging data tools and external sources
  • Critical eye to anticipate customer needs (both the "science" and "art" of retail merchandising)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes and brand enhancement
  • Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success

All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
