Job description

AboutKnightscope

Knightscope (NASDAQ: KSCP) is a security technology company building the nation's first Autonomous Security Force - autonomous machines, AI-driven software, and elite security professionals operating as one integrated managed service. The Company is on a mission to make the United States of America the safest country in the world. One Team. One Force.

Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator will support Knightscope's marketing team by owning the company's social media presence, monthly newsletter, and apparel/merch store, while also serving as the friendly face of on-site guest relations at HQ. This is a highly cross-functional, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on variety - one day building out the social content calendar, the next drafting the newsletter or greeting a visiting customer. The ideal candidate is an organized, creative self-starter with strong content creation skills who can juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain brand consistency across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the social media content calendar across platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), scheduling and publishing on-brand content
  • Create engaging content - graphics, photos, and short-form video - for social media, email, and web using tools such as Canva, HubSpot, and CapCut
  • Write, edit, and distribute Knightscope's Monthly Newsletter
  • Manage the Apparel/Merch Store, including inventory coordination, order fulfillment, and vendor communication
  • Serve as on-site guest relations point of contact at Knightscope HQ, welcoming visitors, as needed
  • Working with teams across the company, write, edit, and proofread marketing copy for social posts, blog articles, press materials, and website updates
  • Track campaign and content performance metrics (engagement, reach, click-through) and compile reporting for the marketing team
  • Support planning and execution of trade shows, customer events, and internal events (e.g., Career Night), including signage and swag
  • Coordinate with external vendors (printers, agencies, merch suppliers, freelancers) to produce marketing materials on time and on budget
  • Support other marketing and communications projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, creative, or communications role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and/or Canva
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for brand voice and consistency
  • Hands-on experience managing social media accounts and using scheduling/analytics tools
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfortable working on-site in Sunnyvale, CA and occasionally supporting evening/weekend events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a startup, hardware, robotics, or public safety technology environment
  • Basic photography and videography skills, including on-location shoots and light editing
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow) and basic HTML/CSS
  • Experience supporting trade show or event logistics

Compensation & Benefits

  • Equity:Stock options
  • Benefits:Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off
  • Location Requirement:Full-time, on-site at Sunnyvale HQ
