Job description

Merc Audio LLC is expanding our Internet and Networking Division and is seeking motivated Fiber Splicers and General Installers to join our growing team. We design and deploy high-performance fiber optic and network infrastructure for live events, corporate environments, commercial facilities, and broadband installations. Our projects include fiber optic backbone deployment, structured cabling, enterprise Wi-Fi, AV-over-IP networks, temporary ISP services, and high-capacity event networking that supports mission-critical communications. The ideal candidate will have experience with fiber optic cable installation, mechanical and fusion splicing, structured cabling, and network infrastructure deployment, although we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities include performing fusion / mechanical splicing and testing, installing network equipment and access points, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. Experience with OTDR testing, Ethernet networking, commercial construction, or low-voltage systems is a plus.

Candidates must be dependable, able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs un assisted, work indoors and outdoors, travel as needed, and possess a valid driver's license / functional vehicle.
