Job Description
Clark Construction ("Clark") is seeking a BIM Coordinator MEP. This position will ensure the successful adoption of BIM to leverage the complete construction data lifecycle, beginning with preconstruction services through construction and project turnover.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project level BIM Coordination, including clash detection, running technical BIM meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Represent Clark by participating in BIM presentations to clients and industry groups.
  • Establish BIM goals and objectives and develop project-specific BIM workflows.
  • Manage and implement BIM project setup process (e.g., BIM Execution Plan, file formats, nomenclature, model co-coordinates, data sharing, meeting/coordination schedule etc.)
  • Facilitate initial BIM meetings and design or MEP coordination sessions.
  • Interact with all stakeholders and for smooth project BIM implementation.
  • Daily coordination with global/offsite team members to ensure work continuity & productivity.
  • General administration work, like writing proposals, making presentations, project billings, etc.
  • QA/QC of drawings and models created by others (including scan to BIM).
  • Modify/rectify models created by others.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience overseeing BIM implementation (preferred experience with MEP subcontractors).
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture/civil engineering/mechanical engineering.
  • Broad, general understanding of many relevant areas of municipal engineering, hydraulics, and process mechanical systems design with respect to materials as well as industry standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of commonly used BIM software like Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Synchro, Sketchup, BIM Track, Bluebeam, 3DS Max, Tekla, Fusor etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional knowledge of BIM processes used in the industry.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • High sense of quality driven deliverables
  • Ability to manage priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Passion and experience to work with cross cultural/global teams.
  • Experience in Scan (point cloud) to BIM modeling.

The Physical Side of the Role: Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.
Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment.
