Job description

Work schedule: on-site in Buena Park, CA; 20 hours per week flexible scheduling with clear path to full-time conversion

Roles and responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Complete and manage inbound design request tickets (DRP) from internal stakeholders — including new store opening collateral, in-store CX elements (menu boards, posters, notices), and ad creative across digital and physical channels.
  • Assist the Sr. Graphic Designer on cross-functional collaborations with Marketing, Operations, and other departments — including concepting, resizing, and production edits that are on-brand.
  • Manage the department’s project workload through Asana — creating, tracking, and clearing tickets to meet deadlines and project requirements.
  • Produce ad creative for Meta, TikTok, and other digital platforms — static posts, Stories, Reels covers, and promotional graphics.
  • Support brand asset library organization, ensuring logos, templates, photography, and design files remain structured and accessible for the full marketing team.

What we are looking for:

  • Education: Associate’s degree or higher required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills is a required submission — candidates without one will not be considered.
  • Entry-level with relevant experience; 0–2 years of agency or in-house experience preferred.
  • Agency, marketing, freelance, or web design background a plus (internship experience counts).
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva; Figma experience is required.
  • Experience with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with project management tools is a plus (Asana, Jira, Monday.com).
  • Strong sense of brand aesthetics, typography, and layout — understanding of what makes content stop the scroll.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. — visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Portfolio Requirements:

  • 3+ portfolio entries required — variety preferred: videos, statics, graphic design, and/or artwork.
  • 1+ video editing portfolio piece is optional but encouraged.
  • We welcome creativity! Bonus for portfolios that are dynamic and showcases a well-versed output across multiple pieces of creatives ranging from commercial advertising to personal projects. Show it off!
