WHO WE'D LIKE TO WORK WITH
Bottega Louie Creative Department is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer with determination, a sense of urgency and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results where quality is never compromised. Essential behaviors include possessing the ability to focus on multiple projects at a time, solving problems quickly and efficiently, and maintaining a poised demeanor throughout evolving concepts.
This position requires demonstration of meticulous design craft, integrity, and quality. Our Junior Graphic Designer is a courteous, analytical thinker, confident in their ideas, but cautious in their implementation. Interested candidates must have at least one year of work experience; ideally in a creative, design or production environment. A passion for food and hospitality is a plus.
Qualified candidates should be local to the LA area.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Creative versatility with packaging / print / digital design.
  • Strong typography knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to support Senior Art Director in developing and implementing visual language throughout multiple deliverables.
  • Photography, retouching, and web design skills a plus.
  • BA or Bachelor of Communication Arts degree in graphics-related field is preferred.
  • 1 year work experience within the design industry is preferred.
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of web platforms such as Shopify is a plus.
  • Preferred work ethic / behavioral characteristics: incredible attention to detail and accuracy, self-motivated and independent thinker, strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple short-term and long-term projects simultaneously, positive attitude, accepts constructive feedback well, dedicated and hardworking, team player.

Job Duties:
  1. Packaging and product development for food and beverage items
    1. Works with Senior Art Director to develop packaging for gourmet food products.
    2. Manages projects closely to ensure timely launches.
  2. Photography
    1. Responsible for assisting in stylized brand photography: menu items, market product, and pastry.
    2. Photographs / documents / retouches all new menu items as well as market pastries / products for internal records and training.
  3. Marketing and Social Media
    1. Assists in creating content for and schedules all email blasts on a weekly or holiday basis.
    2. Helps to create content for all social media / marketing efforts.
  4. Ops support
    1. Edits and prints menus. Coordinates with third party to make menu PDFs ADA compliant. Uploads to website.
    2. Audits market for proper display of all product merchandising.
    3. Works with ops to coordinate and launch new business segments.
  5. Inventory / Vendor Relationships / Purchasing
    1. Works with vendors to receive best pricing on packaging and print items.

COMPENSATION
  • Ranging $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
  • Comprehensive health benefits available to eligible Employees
  • 48 Hours Paid Sick Leave per year (Accrues at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked subject to an 80 hour cap)
