Job description

Registered Nurses are encouraged to consider an available position with Liberty Healthcare's mental health program at the West Valley Detention Center.
Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized mental health program within the West Valley Detention Center - a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga.
This program provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adult inmates who are justice involved and experiencing mental illness.
As an RN with Liberty Healthcare, you will work alongside a talented team of clinicians and ancillary professionals while providing vital nursing care that helps people achieve improved mental health and wellbeing.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Establishing and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with patients
  • Assessing patient status, health, and responses to medications
  • Providing wholistic nursing care
  • Documenting patient's health and interventions in medical records
  • Actively participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Collaborating with Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Clinicians, and security staff
  • Using your nursing expertise to develop and enhance individual treatment plans
  • Delivering health education to individual patients and groups

This is a per-dem position which will offer you opportunities to work on an as needed / as available basis on weekdays during daytime hours.
As a per-diem Registered Nurse with Liberty Healthcare, you can expect starting hourly pay between $45.00 and $55.00 (depending on qualifications).
