• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, and develop personalized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, ensuring tailored approaches that meet the diverse needs of clients.
• Collaborate closely with case managers and psychiatrists to ensure clients receive coordinated and comprehensive mental health care, including regular case discussions and treatment updates.
• Offer crisis intervention services to clients in immediate distress, creating safe and supportive environments for de-escalation and emotional support.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, workshops, and educational programs aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma.

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse client population, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and age backgrounds. Clients may face a range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma-related disorders. The counselor will be instrumental in fostering a safe environment for open dialogue, empowering clients to articulate their needs and work collectively towards recovery.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport and strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills are necessary for thorough documentation and adhering to client schedules.

• Experience working in a community mental health setting, particularly with underserved populations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth practices.
• Special training or certification in specific therapeutic techniques or models, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
