As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating therapeutic processes for your clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with clients to collaboratively set and achieve individualized treatment goals based on their unique circumstances.
• Providing prevention-oriented therapy tailored to the needs of clients, ensuring a proactive approach to mental health management.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing comprehensive treatment plans to monitor client progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Collaborating effectively with a network of treatment providers and placement agencies to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to regulatory standards.
• Managing a caseload with a focus on consistency and quality, while keeping detailed session notes to track treatment outcomes.
• Participating in regular staff meetings to share insights, strategize on client care, and contribute to enhancing our team culture.
• Actively contributing to the enrichment of our work environment, fostering a positive culture for both clients and team members.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. The ideal candidate for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor position will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• At least one year of direct experience in mental health counseling or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in community mental health resources and networks.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clients thoughtfully.
• A proven capacity to build rapport and trust with clients, creating a safe space for healing.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and a team-oriented mindset.

While not mandatory, experience with specific populations or therapeutic modalities is a plus, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is also beneficial.
