Elite Coast Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled licensed mental health counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote setting. This role is essential in providing compassionate mental health services to our clients, helping them navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. The successful candidate will conduct mental health evaluations, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement effective therapeutic interventions for individuals and groups.

This position is designed for a full-time mental health counselor who can work remotely, providing flexibility and an opportunity to support clients from various locations, primarily based in Springfield, Illinois. • Conduct thorough initial assessments and document client histories, from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment to create comprehensive treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized intervention strategies for various demographics—including individuals, couples, families, and groups—to support diverse needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting therapeutic dialogue to foster healing and recovery.
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to support optimal outcomes.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers, such as social workers and psychiatrists, to develop holistic intervention strategies that encompass all aspects of a client’s well-being.
• Conduct follow-ups with medical professionals regarding clients who may have been admitted to hospitals, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, thereby improving the support system around the client.

Our counselor will engage with a varied client population, including individuals enduring depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. We aim to foster a safe and supportive environment tailored to the needs of our clients, which may include adults and adolescents with complex mental health conditions.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively document client interactions and treatment progress.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a community health setting or clinic environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, is highly desired to streamline patient management.
• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as issues related to addiction.
• Awareness of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and best practices.
• Deep understanding of psychopharmacology and the implications of various medications prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills built on empathy and a genuine desire to support individuals in their mental health journeys.
