Volunteer Resident Advisor - Independent Living Home - Young Adult MenAre you called to invest in the lives of young men and make a lasting impact for Christ? We are seeking a mature, Christ-centered male to serve as a Volunteer Resident Advisor in one of our neighborhood independent living homes. This role provides mentorship, guidance, and spiritual leadership to young adult men transitioning to independence.
This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity with rent-free housing and utilities provided.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • Model Christ-centered living and serve as a positive role model to residents
  • Build meaningful, mentoring relationships with young adult men
  • Provide guidance and accountability as residents navigate life, work, and school
  • Foster a safe, structured, and family-style home environment
  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence in the home
  • Lead or participate in weekly devotionals or Bible studies in the home
  • Plan and support resident activities that encourage growth and connection
  • Communicate regularly with the Program Manager regarding resident process
  • Partner with residents to maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and team gatherings
  • Commit to active time engagement in the home in order to build relationships (minimum 25 hours per week)
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience mentoring or working with young men, preferably those impacted by trauma
  • Strong, active Christian faith with a clear calling to ministry
  • Ability to model healthy relationships and behaviors in a home setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be employed (full-time or part-time) and/or actively enrolled in school, modeling financial stability and independent for residents.
