Clarendale West End is recruiting for a hospitality focused Director of Memory Care to join our team! This role is responsible for the planning, coordinating, and directing of a wide and varied scope of activities and programming which meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, and environmental needs of the residents.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity

Salary: $68,000-$72,000/year

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Director of Memory Care:

  • Leads all efforts in memory care programming, consistent with Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program.
  • Manages and direct the functions of the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program to include ongoing staff training and assistance in program implementation.
  • Evaluates resident activity needs and working in collaboration with community care staff members explore opportunities for resident engagement and plan and schedule all daily activities for the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program based on individual needs and resident interest.
  • Utilizes training tools consistent with the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program Orientation and Education Trainer Manual and Workbook.
  • Utilizes the Playbook and Activities Recipe Book on a daily basis.
  • Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.  This is a whole-person approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational.  Through these efforts we can ensure and exceed residents' wellness needs relating to their mind, body and soul, which may also have a positive effect on the employees, as a result.
  • Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • A degree in a related (nursing, social services, therapeutic recreation) field preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with program facilitation and activity program development
  • Certification or licensed per state guidelines.
  • Must have current Basic First Aid and CPR certification if required by State
