Job description

As a Memory Care Activities Assistant, you'll support the Memory Care Director in creating a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment for residents living with memory challenges. Your enthusiasm and empathy will help residents feel connected, happy, and engaged.
Memory Care Activities Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops monthly themed activity calendar for residents based on the Memory Care Program Daily Routine.
• Carries out monthly activity calendar with varied activities.
• Recruits, organizes, trains, and recognizes volunteers to expand and supplement the Memory Care program while including the largest number of residents possible.
• Involves resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to help the resident transition and maintain a satisfying wellbeing and positive state of mind.
• Encourages residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• Maintains all activity areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Participates in Family Support meetings when needed.
• Maintains community involvement.
Memory Care Activities Assistant Qualifications and Skills:
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends due to special events.
• Valid State issued driver's license and must be 21 years of age.
