Weโ€™re seeking a full-time experienced Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) / Admitting Representative to join our Rural Health Convenient Care. This is a day-shift position, Monday through Fridayโ€”with rotating Saturday!

Job Title: Medical Assistant / Admitting Representative
Immediate Supervisor: RHC Director

Job Summary:

A Convenient Care Receptionist/Medical Assistant plays a vital dual role, combining front-office administrative duties with essential clinical support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position is responsible for managing patient registration, insurance processing, appointment scheduling, and basic patient care activities, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all patients.

The Convenient Care Receptionist/Medical Assistant is inclusive of but not limited to the job description for the RHC Receptionist job description, in addition to the responsibilities outlined in this job description.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Communication & Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Medical Knowledge: Understanding of medical terminology and basic billing practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Clinical Skills: Ability to take vital signs and assist in basic medical procedures.
  • Organizational Ability: Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Capable of working both collaboratively and independently.

Certifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)-preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Immunizations:

  • Immunizations required per IDPH, CDC, and CMS
