The Quad Cities Chamber seeks a Manager, Membership Sales to build relationships with local businesses, creating an amazing first impression of our organization while selling Chamber memberships and services.

Title: Manager, Membership Sales

Department: Membership & Events

Reports To: Executive Director, Membership & Events

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Davenport, Iowa

Salary: Base plus commission with expected salary range of $60k - $75k.

Summary: The Manager, Membership Sales is responsible for contributing to the achievement of Chamber revenue goals by identifying, cultivating, and securing new Chamber members, and non-dues revenue and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing members that result in enhanced engagement and/or perceived value. The primary focus of the Manager, Membership Sales is to increase Chamber revenues through sales of new and renewed memberships and sponsorship opportunities.

The position entails a variety of duties pertaining to revenue growth through membership and sponsorship sales, investor relations, upgrades and partnerships with the Quad Cities Chamber.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

  • Makes initial contact with prospective businesses, schedules appointments, and personal visits, educates and informs as to the programs and benefits offered by the Chamber, ability to ask for and close the sale.
  • Actively seeks out new businesses and follows up in a timely and appropriate manner via appointments, cold calls, or email
  • Maintains knowledge of goals, objectives, and services provided by the Chamber
  • Consistently able to achieve budgeted revenue goals
  • Works with current investors to deliver the benefits of their investment package and/or to pursue higher levels of investment
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing members, provides resources, and delivers exceptional customer service to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
  • Track sales metrics, prepare reports, and present regular updates to Executive Director, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of chamber services, membership benefits, events, and resources to effectively promote and convey their value to prospective and current members.
  • Works to become proficient with the member database and uses the database to record sales and retention activity
  • Actively supports and participates in Chamber events and programs
  • Participates annually to advance the Chamber’s DEI strategy
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Experience in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business
