Job description

Hybrid-Remote Role

Compensation: $85,000 – $95,000

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote (Texas-based)

Commitment: Full-Time

OUR CLIENT IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE CPA FIRM.

This is a progressive, women-owned public accounting firm in the North Austin/Georgetown/Round Rock corridor, and they have earned every bit of their national reputation for firm culture. Smart processes, strong mentorship, and a team that does not operate on chaos.

We are looking for a Tax Supervising Senior who is ready to step into a leadership role, someone who can handle complex work, develop junior staff, and own an engagement from start to finish.

About the Role

As a Tax Supervising Senior, you will carry the bulk of your engagement work yourself while beginning to take on real supervisory responsibilities, reviewing others' work, providing feedback that actually helps people grow, and keeping projects on track. You are the kind of professional who raises the quality of everything they touch.

This is a fully remote role, open to candidates anywhere in Texas, including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Abilene, El Paso, and surrounding markets.

What You'll Do

• You will prepare complex tax returns and engagements, handling the majority of technical work independently with supervision available on the most intricate matters.

• You will perform initial review of junior team members' workpapers and deliverables, providing timely, useful feedback.

• You will train and mentor Associate and Senior Associate staff on firm processes, software, and professional standards.

• You will manage engagement-level timelines to consistently meet client care expectations.

• You will maintain deep working knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax, PFX Engagement, and firm policies.

• You will hold yourself and your work to a high-quality standard and help others do the same.

YYou Might Be a Great Fit If

• You have four to seven years of public accounting experience and you are ready to lead, not just produce.

• You are the person on the team who others come to with questions, and you are good at it.

• You give feedback that helps people improve rather than just pointing out what is wrong.

• You want a remote role with real professional weight, not a fully autonomous, go-it-alone situation.

• You are organized, deadline-driven, and do not let things fall through the cracks.

• You want to grow into a supervisor role inside a firm that actually prepares you for it.

What You Bring to the Table

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• 4–7 years of public accounting experience.

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of accounting and tax concepts.

• Proficiency in CCH Axcess Tax and PFX Engagement.

• Demonstrated ability to manage engagement timelines and client expectations.

• Early supervisory experience or a strong readiness to step into that responsibility.

• Bonus points: Construction industry experience or CPA/EA licensure in progress.

What's in It for You

This role offers a base salary of $85-110K based on your experience and past performance.

The benefits package includes 100% company-paid medical (Blue Cross & Blue Shield), 100% company-paid long-term disability and life insurance, a 401(k) with profit-sharing match, four weeks of vacation, optional four-day summer work weeks, nine paid holidays, flex time, a professional certification loan with zero-payback option, paid professional dues and memberships, and a retention incentive plan paid at Years 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20. Quarterly team production bonuses, individual spot bonuses, and a referral bonus program up to $10,000 round it out.

Timing Matters. But So Does Fit.

We know great professionals do not make career moves lightly, and we respect that. If this opportunity resonates with you at all, we welcome the conversation.

No pressure, no pitch.

Just an honest discussion about whether this could be your next chapter.

Let's Connect

If you are ready to take that next step into supervision, inside a firm that will actually support you in doing it well, let's have a conversation. Contact Benaiah Consulting Group. We work exclusively in the "Locally Owned" and SMB CPA firm space and know this opportunity well.
