- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Rotating Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Sandia Area Federal Credit Union is hiring a Member Consultant to join our branch team. This front-line role combines relationship-building with secure operational support to help our members achieve lifelong financial success.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Consultative Service: Build member relationships, open accounts, and guide members through loan applications.
  • Transaction Accuracy: Securely handle cash, process financial transactions, and balance drawers flawlessly.
  • Goal Driven: Proactively identify financial needs to meet or exceed individual and branch performance goals.
  • Team Flexibility: Adapt to changing branch needs, assisting with opening, closing, and routine operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to credit union policies, financial laws, BSA, and OFAC regulations.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Performs other job-related duties as assigned to support efficient branch operations and an exceptional member experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Expertise in member engagement, financial consulting, and transactional services with a strong understanding of financial institution operations and compliance.
  • Ability to analyze financial information, interpret credit reports, and provide appropriate banking recommendations tailored to member needs.
  • Proficiency in executing financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain and recommend financial products using a consultative, member-first approach that prioritizes financial well-being.

  • Must be able to transition from station to station as needed to serve members and lift up to 15 lbs.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service, financial services, or sales, preferably within a credit union or banking environment.
