Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Job Description
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T) in Rolla, Missouri is seeking outstanding applicants for a non-tenure-track (NTT) teaching faculty position at the assistant/associate professor rank. NTT teaching faculty members contribute to the core activity of teaching and are fully engaged in the department's curriculum development and delivery. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level across a range of fundamental mechanical and aerospace engineering courses. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching strength and interest in instrumentation and controls, however, the successful candidate will need to teach other fundamental courses to the mechanical or aerospace undergraduate curricula.
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is the largest department on campus, and each program is the largest of its kind in Missouri. The department currently has 27 internationally recognized tenured/tenure-track faculty, 8 teaching faculty, 10 staff members, over 150 graduate students (including 82 Ph.D. students), over 1,500 undergraduate students, and over 13,000 living alumni. Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field. Successful prior teaching experience is an important consideration. Industrial experience is very desirable but not required.

COLLEGE of ENGINEERING & COMPUTING (CEC)
Missouri S&T's College of Engineering and Computing is the largest of three colleges at S&T, accounting for approximately 80% of the total enrollment (about 4,500 undergraduates and 800 graduate students).
