Civilian Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric Inpatient Unit โ€“ BAMC

Responsibilities

SCHEDULE: ROTATING DAYS AND NIGHTS, 3 Months days/ 3 Months Nights -3/12s

As a GiaMed employee, your duties and responsibilities will be the same as any other registered nurse on the same unit. Duties can include but are not limited to the following: team lead, precept, orientate, rapid response, and other tasks as needed.

For this position, the ideal candidate must have knowledge of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, de-escalation techniques, the Joint Commission recommendations for restraint application, and experience in the application of mechanical restraints. Must have knowledge in the mental health nursing process, individual and family dynamics in health and during illness; individual and group modalities; theories of personality development, human behavior, psychopathology, diagnosis, Bchemotherapy, psychotherapies, and physiological response to alcohol and drug abuse withdrawal.

Qualifications -Must be U.S. citizen

-BLS current

-The RN shall have at least one (1) year of full-time bedside experience within the last five (5) years working as an RN in a Mental Health Unit.
