About the Job
The Department of Pathology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is recruiting for a full-time Neuropathologist. MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a 609-bed acute care academic medical center and is part of MedStar Health, serving as a major tertiary care hospital for the metropolitan DC area.
The Neuropathologist candidate must be Board Certified/Eligible either in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, or just Anatomic Pathology. Subspecialty Fellowship training in Neuropathology and board eligibility or certification is required.
The candidate would be part of a thirteen-member group and would provide neuropathology services, general surgical pathology services, specialty services, and participate in teaching in our pathology residency program.

Qualifications
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology only by the American Board of Pathology
  • Subspecialty Fellowship training in Neuropathology and board eligibility or certification is required
  • Open to experienced neuropathologists and highly motivated new graduates
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Washington, D.C.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with expertise in central and peripheral nervous system pathology, including surgical pathology, brain tumors, and neurodegenerative disease evaluation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams
