Job description

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
    •  
      Greets all patients and visitors with a smile and a professional hello, good morning, good afternoon, or how can I help you. Accurately registers patients and makes sure the account is up to date. Looks at the order to make sure it matches exam scheduled and questions anything that seems incorrect. Print cd's requested by patients, physicians, other healthcare facilities and lawyers. Answers phones and collects copays when applicable using proper process and cash drawer. Full and/or quick registration of patients for all radiology procedures. Schedule same-day and advanced Radiology appointments with appropriate clinical history. Runs appropriate reports and statistics as needed by Operations Manager or Director . Responsible for the satisfactory relationship between the radiology department and its clients. Assists with questions and delegates calls to the appropriate area within radiology. Position relates to the overall function of the radiology department and the hospital in view of patient care. Uses overhead paging system to triage calls from providers or outside calls to staff members.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • 1 year of computer experience required , full and express registration training, receptionist, advanced scheduling experience highly preferred.
      • Must have excellent phone etiquette and ability to deal with the public.
      • 1 year experience in a medical office or hospital environment preferred.
    • Education and Training:
      •  
        High school diploma, medical terminology is preferred.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • CPR
    • Other Requirements:
      • Excellent written and verbal communication.
      • Can multitask well.
      • Good spelling, reading, and writing skills.
      • Must be able to use other computer programs but can be trained.
      • Meditech, knowledge preferred but can be trained.
      • Other duties as per department needs and instructed by Operations Manager, Radiology Director, or NARH facility Director.
