Medication Techs, also known as Medication Technicians or Med Techs, are healthcare professionals responsible for assisting licensed nurses by administering medications to patients, typically in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or group homes. They ensure medications are given accurately according to physicians' orders and maintain detailed records of administration. Medication Techs also monitor patients for side effects, report any concerns to nursing staff, and help with other daily care tasks as needed.
