Pharmacy Tech – Materials Coordinator
Required Education • High School Diploma or equivalent Required License • CA active Pharmacy Tech License Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience • Comfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse/pharmacy environment • Experience working in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution environments • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work around conveyor belts and moving machinery • Ability to follow pharmacy guidelines, safety procedures, and hazardous medication handling practices • Basic computer and keyboarding skills • Ability to repeatedly lift 5–10 lbs. throughout shift • Ability to occasionally lift 30–50 lbs. during shift Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience • Inventory control or materials coordination experience • Experience packaging, labeling, counting, or handling medications • Experience operating automated pill counting devices Pharmacy Tech – Materials Coordinator Overview • The Pharmacy Tech – Materials Coordinator supports pharmacy fulfillment operations by selecting, packaging, labeling, and preparing medications and supplies for shipment under pharmacist supervision • This is a highly physical role requiring extended standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and repetitive movement throughout the shift in a fast-paced operational environment • Responsibilities include medication picking and packaging, inventory support, restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and assisting with operational fulfillment activities • The role also supports materials coordination and inventory processes while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and hazardous medication handling procedures • Candidates must be comfortable working around warehouse equipment, conveyor systems, and physically demanding operational workflows Job Duties • Select, pick, package, and label medications and ancillary supplies per prescription guidelines • Accurately count medications manually and using automated counting devices • Follow hazardous medication handling and sanitation procedures • Prepare and restock filling stations with medications and supplies • Assist with inventory control and materials coordination activities • Clean pill counting devices, equipment, and work areas • Assist Operations Assistant/packer functions as needed • Maintain pharmacy operational accuracy and compliance standards • Support shipping and fulfillment preparation activities Specific Details to Call Attention To • Active California Pharmacy Technician License is mandatory • This is a highly physically demanding role • Able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. • Able to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs. • Candidates must be comfortable standing/walking for 8–10-hour shifts • Must be able to repeatedly lift medications, ice boxes, and packages throughout shift • Must be comfortable working around conveyor belts and warehouse machinery
